For middle and senior management and executives, orientation towards the future is especially crucial because it provides focus, determines the culture of the company, creates robustness, adaptability and engages employees.

A strong business vision encourages and guides everyone in an organization at every level. People handle what is in front of them because our habits and thoughts clearly dominate our regular and short-term duties. That definitely leaves stuff sailing currently, but it is unsuitable to cope with or use future possibilities (or create them).

After developing your vision, determine how it will be accomplished:

  • Handle any obstacles that could stand in the manner and consider how potential activities could influence it
  • Develop a practical strategy and transmit the vision and the schedule to all
  • To bring others together, your vision must be clear, convincing, believable, easy to understand, workable, inspiring and focused, not overly prescriptive and flexible

If it is not acted upon, a vision is for nothing. You should ensure that all strategies and choices must be driven by the vision, and all should remain dedicated to the vision.
